THE MAKE MONEY SERIES: LIVE AND EARN... PT. 2!!!
Hello peeps, trust you are doing great.
In my last post, I commenced The "Make Money" Series by making a case for the need to invest in setting up your space while revealing how such investment can be converted into additional streams of income.
I started with 3 means, namely:
#1: STUDIO SESSION
Setting up spaces for photo shoots, audio
recordings and so on.
#2: YARD SALE
Holding events to sell off items that are no
longer in use but in good condition.
#3: PAID STORAGE
Helping others store up their valuables in your vacant space for some time.
Permit me to take it 3 steps further with these additions
#4: RENT OUT VACANT SPACES
The act of renting out spaces or apartments even while it's been occupied by the owner is fast becoming a norm.
With platforms like Airbnb, TempoFlat, Reposée and so on, you now have an opportunity to rent out part of your space or even a complete apartment for temporary occupants who are willing to have your space in exchange for some money.
Opening up your doors to outright strangers might pose some threat to your privacy, but it's Wx worth considering especially when you have specific periods (like vacations) when your space is vacant.
Please ensure you clearly state your rules and preferences on the platform you choose to present your space for rent.
#5: FEATURE ON SCENES
The entertainment and advertising industries appreciate aesthetics a lot, thus causing professionals like film producers, creative directors, cinematographers and the likes to be on the lookout for scenes that can feature in their works.
Although I'm not aware of any platform where you can pitch your space to players in these industries (I think I should create one), I'm aware of a space I once worked on featuring in a documentary.
Be forewarned that your space will be chaotic as a result of the enormous activities that come with the shots, but it's still a good way to make some spare cash.
#6: CO-WORK SPACES
The aftermath of COVID-19 has brought several dynamics into our work lives, with work finding its way into our living spaces more than ever.
You will be amazed at how many people in your neighbourhood needs conducive spaces that enable work efficiency and productivity.
Investing some funds in a good ambience with a fast internet connection and chill-out spaces will attract working-class peeps who wouldn't mind getting out of their comfort zone to get some work done without going too far, even at a cost.
I'm available to offer advice on which part of your space best suits such purposes, to avoid conflicts with your privacy as a result of the intrusion.
I'm Kenny, an interior designer and project
manager.
